Large collection of Militaria relating to Lieutenant Colonel Douglas Stuart Wooles (352374) MBE, including a japed metal military style uniform case marked Lieut.Col D.S.Wooles MBE R.C.T, containing an extremely large collection of military uniform and ephemera including a Dennison Airborne Troops Para Smock size 2 by John Gordon & Co 1945, with associated DZ and Para wings, Flashes, regimental beret, peaked cap, various stable belts, regimental ties, flashes, medal bar ribbons, rank slides, webbing belts, officers gloves, haversack dated 1941, leather cased binoculars, map reading equipment, association lapel badges, presentation tankards etc (QTY) (Lt.Col.Wooles served with the 63rd Company Airborne Royal Army Logistics Corp, part of 6th Airborne Division during WWII including operations Overlord and Market Garden 1944, Officer Commanding 63 Coy 1958-60 being deployed in Jordon and Palestine, received MBE in New Years Honours 1959, also seconded to joint experimental helicopter unit and was involved in first UK forces helicopter assault on Port Said part of Operation Musketeer 1956)
