Early C20th photograph album comprising approx. 156 photographs, of which 71 relate to a Royal Navy & Royal Marines tour of service (probable HMS Leviathan) of the Far East , Hong Kong, China and Japan c1903 to 1906, the majority silver gelatin with some earlier late C19th Japanese colour albumens in the manner of Kusakabe Kimbei. Second half of the album family and UK related. All stuck down, album size 34cm by 24cm. Scenes include first Royal Marine band 1903, Kowloon Harbour, Mirs Bay, scenes of the crew on shore, Japanese tattooed man albumen, Hong Kong Railway, Quarry Blasting Kowloon, Chinese Soldiers, Chinese peoples, bound feet, Russo-Japanese war related photos of damaged ships etc.
