The Scarborough Mayor's Charity Ball took place in at the Scarborough Spa on Friday 11 March, raising thousands of pounds for local causes.

The evening's entertainment included dinner, dancing and a charity auction hosted by auctioneer Angus Ashworth. 

Around 300 guests joined the Mayor and Mayoress, with the event catered by Scarborough TEC students alongside the team at the Spa.

Sponsors of the event included the Duchy of Lancaster, Whitby Gin Distillery and Stepney Hill Farm.

Councillor Eric Broadbent, Mayor of the borough of Scarborough, said:
“I am delighted and proud that the grand charity ball was such a great success. Raising more than twelve thousand pounds is a wonderful achievement."
