Buyer's Premium is payable on all lots at the rate of 29.9% (24.91% + VAT)

COLLECTIONS

  • Collections are by APPOINTMENT ONLY
  • Lots must be collected within 10 days of the sale (e.g. items in a sale on Friday 14th Jan would need to be collected by Monday 24th Jan)
  • Uncollected lots will be subject to a storage charge of £3.00 (Incl. VAT) per lot per day
  • We are unable to offer collection appointments on weekends and Bank Holidays

POSTAGE & COURIERS

  • Shipping quotes are available from the courier Bradley's. The cost of P&P can be found under the description of the lot - this does not include insurance - if you require insurance, please request for this to be added.
  • We do not offer an in-house packing service.

CONDITION REPORTS

We kindly encourage buyers to attend our public viewing in person to assess the condition of the lots before placing any bids. However, if you are unable to attend, we would be happy to provide a condition report upon request. Please email your request to [email protected] or call us at 01751 431 544 with sufficient time prior to the sale.

ONLINE BIDDING

Live online bidding for our auctions is available through our website,  easyliveAuction.com and the-saleroom.com. This extends our reach well beyond the walls of our auction house, with registered users able to bid worldwide at the click of a mouse. These platforms also offer an absentee/autobid service.

Tips for online bidding:

  • Register with the platform you want to use in advance of the sale
  • Favourite the lots you want to bid on
  • Do not wait to hear the auctioneer as there is sometimes an audio delay, follow the bidding onscreen
  • Do not wait until the last second to bid as the hammer may go down before your bid is received

COMMISSION BIDS

A commission bid allows buyers to authorise the auctioneer to bid on their behalf up to a specified maximum amount. Absentee/commission bids can be left by calling our office on 01751 431 544. 

IN PERSON

The traditional way! Please see the auction catalogue pages of our website for dates and times. Please be aware that seating in the saleroom is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis; however, ample standing room is always available. Many of our Antiques, Interiors, and Collectables Sales are recorded for future episodes of The Yorkshire Auction House. If you plan to bid in person but prefer not to be filmed, designated seating and standing areas are available - please refer to the posters in the saleroom on sale day for more information.
